State legislation AB822 for DACA recipients passed the state assembly with bipartisan support.
The legislation allows DACA recipients to receive occupational licenses to work as plumbers, electricians, drivers, nurses and other jobs that require state licensing.
It is now pending that this legislation be introduced in the licensing committee in the state senate and then pass for a vote in the full senate before mid-March. The last step would be to go to Governor Evers who would support it. But we need people to raise their voices in support of this legislation in the state senate to hear the level of support that exists throughout Wisconsin.
