Save the date for one of Voces’ biggest events of the year, our 2024 Annual Assembly, happening on Saturday, January 27! We will be meeting at South Division High School, 1515 W Lapham Blvd, Milwaukee. Event registration begins at 9:00 a.m., the program is from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Annual Assembly brings together our statewide members, supporters, and those looking to learn more and get involved in our work. The event is free and open to all, and we encourage you to invite your friends, family, and coworkers!

At the Assembly, we’ll share important campaign updates and what you need to know on:
- Restoring Driver Licenses for All in Wisconsin
If Minnesota and Illinois can do it, we can too! Let’s become the 20th state to win. - DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals)
How to defend the program and expand access to healthcare. - Expanded protections for immigrants through executive actions:
– National efforts to End 287g, law enforcement, and I.C.E. collaboration.
– Expanding Temporary Protected Status or other employment-based visas.
Learn about recent and upcoming campaigns including:
- DALE (Deferred Action for Labor Enforcement)
– New labor rights protections for immigrant workers who file labor complaints
– Hear from a panel of Wisconsin workers on the frontlines of the campaign - Updating the national registry
– This would be a simple and broad fix to our broken immigration system. - The upcoming 2024 election season and what to know, how to prepare, how to help.
– The Latinx and multiracial youth vote will be decisive.
– Everyone has a role to play, regardless of voter eligibility.
Hear updates and learn more about our unique program areas including:
- Youth Empowered in the Struggle:
– School Lunch Justice and Environmental Justice campaigns. - New Americans Program:
– Naturalized citizenship and English classes.
– Updates on our growth and new chapters. - Caminos:
– Voces’ legal and community services.
– Additional community informational resources will be available.
Plus, any topics or questions that arise from our members. This is your assembly and your chance to decide where and how we next take action.
Wisconsin is our home, and it’s where the future of our state and local communities depends on the actions we take today. Throughout the 23 years of Voces history, we’ve witnessed what we can accomplish when we work together. Our track record speaks for itself, our growth is undeniable, and our influence extends to national and even international reach.
But it starts with members like you! We’re counting on your participation and presence on Saturday, January 27th at South Division High School in Milwaukee at 10:00 a.m., see you there!
