Interfaith Rally Against Trump’s Family Raids

UCC Participants Gather at Convention Entrance- Wisconsin Ave Vel R.Phillips Ave at 1:00 PM to begin march at 1:10 PM and arrive at 1:30 PM arrival to ICE Office at 310 E Knapp St.
On Monday, June 24th at 1:30 pm, religious leaders from the Racine Interfaith Coalition, the United Church of Christ, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, WISDOM, MICAH, Milwaukee’s Jewish community, Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice, and more will join Voces de la Frontera members rallying in protest outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Milwaukee facility to say that faith communities will stand with immigrant families to resist the President’s “Family Operation” raids targeting refugee families.
Prior to the rally at ICE, national delegates from the United Church of Christ in Milwaukee for their General Synod will march at 1:15 pm from the site of their synod at the Wisconsin Center at the corner of Wisconsin Ave and Vel Phillips Ave to the ICE building. Paola Hincapie, the daughter of recently deported Racine student pastor Betty Rendón of Emaus Lutheran Church will also speak at the rally.

Únase a nosotros para mostrar solidaridad con las comunidades inmigrantes contra las amenazas de Trump para llevar a cabo la deportación masiva, sus políticas de separación y encarcelamiento de familias en la frontera y la deportación por su administración de miles de queridos miembros de la comunidad, como la pastora estudiantil Betty Rendón de la iglesia luterana Emaus en Racine. Nos reuniremos a la 1:30 pm el lunes 24 de junio en la oficina de Milwaukee ICE.
Antes de la manifestación, los miembros de la Iglesia de Cristo Unida en Milwaukee para su Sínodo General marcharán desde el sínodo en el Centro de Convenciones de Wisconsin en la esquina de la avenida Wisconsin y la avenida Vel Phillips. La marcha comienza a las 1:15.
Este evento es organizado por la Colaboración Nacional de Inmigración de la UCC, lel Ministerio de Justicia y Testigo de la UCC, el Ministerio Latinx de la UCC, la Coalición Interreligiosa de Racine, el Nuevo Movimiento Santuario de Milwaukee y Voces de la Frontera. Esta manifestación es parte de la semana mundial de acciones por los derechos de los refugiados que se celebra el 20 de junio, que es el Día Mundial de los Refugiados.
